This course will give you a solid foundation in bee biology & behavior with an emphasis on practical applications for San Francisco Bay Area urban beekeeping.

We'll cover bee anatomy, bee communication, bee behavior from robbing to making queens, bee genetics, the yearly pattern of growth & decline of the hive, and much more!

Jennifer Radtke has been keeping bees in her backyard for 19+ years, and has developed the beekeeping education program at the BioFuel Oasis Cooperative in Berkeley, California.

Her classes are aimed at urban backyard beekeepers in the San Francisco Bay Area.
